We're midway through 2026, and I just returned from an overseas work trip hosted by Lenovo — easily one of the most intensive I've had. Plenty of learning, deep engagement, and more than a little generosity on their end. I'm genuinely grateful for their hospitality and willingness to share.
Back in 2025 I laid down a lot of plans for 2026. I haven't been slacking — much has already been delivered in the first half of the year, and several threads are still running. AI augmentation has been a genuine multiplier; I wouldn't have shipped as much without it.
Here's a snapshot of what's been happening:
The site is rebuilt. After years on an aging .NET-based host, dylanlee.sg is now running on Astro, Keystatic, and Cloudflare Pages. Cleaner, faster, and fully owned end-to-end.
Side projects are moving. I've completed some early tech side hustle trials using AI-assisted vibe coding, with more ideas queued for production. The model I've settled into: I design and architect the system, Claude Code handles the implementation layer, hosted on Azure or AWS. The hosting fees aren't small — but I'm hoping these products open new doors as I start thinking seriously about the next decade.
Chief Architect, AWS, and zero trust. I've been assigned the Chief Architect role and spent a good chunk of late spring bringing up AWS for my corporation — a greenfield environment, carefully designed for our unique zero-trust requirements. Downright busy doesn't quite cover it.
TOGAF is on the horizon. I'm aiming to complete my certification by winter. Time is the one thing 2026 hasn't given me more of — but it's shaping up to be one of the most fruitful and action-packed years I've had in tech.
